Pink lips or Teats? O.O

Retails at RM148

So there I was at SaSa feeling the pinch of recession, not to mention depression when I stumbled across this "Lip Spa" kit. Complete with lip dye, lip gloss, and ... *drum roll please* ... lip balm! I was hooked, and I admit it was the lip balm that banished my woes of depression far, far, far away. Or maybe it was the Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 process. Or the cute Japanese looking packaging (which by now is in some big trash collection center somewhere I am sure .. not decomposing as I type .. so what? We all gonna die anyway. *choi!*), but maybe, just maybe it was the hope that there was actually a product in the market that would even out my lip color tone and make me all pletty while I was feeling ... not so pletty.

Step 1
Lip Tattoo
Spread a tiny amount on your lips and wait for the white (which turns to pink or red, depending on your body heat I imagine, or lips, or chemistry.. bla bla bla) goop to dry into 'your custom shade'. It has taken (depending on how humid or dry its been of late) anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes. It doesn't taste bad, but I wouldn't go recommending you lick it to try.

Step 2
Anti-age lip gloss.
Now this is where I get all paranoid. In the instruction leaflet they include with the cute Japanese packaging, it says its one of the first products (with regards to this whole tinting of the lips, or teats, or even.. O.O down there .. ya... dun look like that lar .. O.O ... they wrote it, I read it and now telling you .. *paiseh*) that includes an anti-aging lip gloss. My theory is that the Step 1 Lip Tattoo is just plain out drying. If not, why they bother to give a super nice lip balm for us to use at night? OOo..damn..that's the next step.

But like I was saying, typing.. writing... I got all paranoid thinking "why would I need an anti-age gloss if all I really want is to tint my lips.. omg.. is this tinting thing going to dry me out so bad that it'll prematurely age me?!!" ... ya lar.. imagination went a bit wild..

Step 3
Lip Masque Nite Treatment
This is when I had an inkling this product was made for us Asians to get suckered into. No one calls lip balm a 'Masque'. And true enough... thinking this product was from Japan cause of the cute packaging.. they bluff lar. It's from the USA.. but then I got all confused cause they mentioned something about Italy and Japan..and I went.. huh? But I have to say that I love the lip balm, its sooo moisturising and smells soooo good. BUT.. and huge BUTT... they blooody only gave half only! I mean.. you'd think they'd give you the full damn stick right? But no.. they only gave half! Bloody cheapskates.

So has it worked. Wait, lemme go get mirror to check.

The Result
I think it works. It may be my eyes, but somehow or rather I think it works. I've used the product for about two weeks, and haven't for the last day to see if I've had any results. And I can say, there is 'some' improvement'.

I guess if I really wanted pink lips, I should just go get an actuallip tattoo hor. Somemore... long run..cheaper.. less hassel.. I just don't want to turn out like one of mom's friend who looks like she's has a constant 'smacked the wall with her lips' look.

.... Probably the color she choose qua? ..

Hmm... ....

Blending Brushes II

Finally my post on the blending brushes that I have. All 3 of em!

I'll start with The Body Shop Blending Brush, recommended by Oprah herself! And yes, though its all soft and blends really, really, really well, I do have a few qualms with it. But the price was not bad though. Around RM30 (I think). Ok, back to the 'qualms', firstly people I have smmmalllll Asian eyes lar, and from what I've heard there are even smallller Asian eyes out there, so common why are the bloody hairs on that thing like a mile long? And everytime I use it, it blends further than I was aiming to go. Like two miles further than I initially planned. But its soft and dun scratches my precious soft eyelids!

Second brush, the infamous Stage Makeup Blending Brush. Ok, I admit.. the price wasn't and isn't worth it. I think about RM60-90 qua? I can't remember la, but I do remember that I was desperate for a good blending brush to try and hone my 'smokiee eyeball looks'. Waste of money la - and ya la, I should have called my friends (you know who u arrr horrrs) for advise before I wasted my mon.. I mean.. before I bought the brush cause bloody hell la... everytime I use it, it feels like I'm rubbing sawdusting paper onto my eyelids. And you know that they are precious ya? (>.<) So painfuls. Oh.. and as you can tell.. even though the lenght is perfect for us Asian small eye people, there doesn't seem to be enough bristles to do a proper job.

Last brush. Oh.. I am loving this little bugger. Cheap and good! Cheap and good! Cheap and gooooood! RM16 ONLY!!!! From...*drum roll please* ... *trumpets please* ... *timble please* ...

CARREFOUR!

Just enough bristles, just enough length, and just enough softness, and Cheep! So cheep! Omg ... My favorite.. and just incase.. hehehe.. I went out and bought one more for when I travel. Cause you never know la, I just might lose the first one here or there, so better safe than sorry.

Ooh talking about travel brushes.. who wants me sell (tee hee, or give) me their Lumiere Blending Travel Brush? Yes, the one out of the travel set ... Kekekekeke..

So ya la, there you have it, my review on blending brushes!

Oh just incase anyone was wondering if I was going to throw away the Stage brush, no la. But I am planning on marinating it in clothing softener first to see if can soften the damn thing. Ok la, I'll be nice, first I'll marinate it in hair conditioner, and when that doesn't work I'll just dunk the whole thing in clothing softener la!

La dee da!

Blending Brushes

I have been in search of the perfect blending brush. So far I "think" i have 3. But I could be wrong.

The first one I bought was from Stage, it was RM100 over. I can't remember how much la. It may have even been RM80, but I really can't remember - wait, more like I dun care, cause I've already spent it, and since I cant' return it, it's mine for life. ... (>.<)

The second one I bought was from The Body Shop. About RM40 .. I think.

The third I bought from Carrefour! For like RM16.

Ya la. Will update you and tell u which one is the best so far.

And Ya LA... I know I wasted money on the Stage brush and that I should have asked 'you all' before I bought it. ....

Exfoliate me.

Stila Goodby: Part 1

I admit. I stopped being a Stila 'fan' when I came to Malaysia. It was wayyy expensive for a student's budget (yar lar - back then ok, back then) and ever since then the flames for Stila dimmed a little at a time..and made way for more suber powderfull pigmentation!

Aka M.A.C \(^.^)/ In or Out of water, the shit stays on! Imagine sweat now.. eewll....still stays on.

But when a beautiful birdy told me that Stila was going to close its doors on Malaysia, and then finally the world, of course I jumped at the chance to stock up. Still stocking up actually, tat's why this post is "Part 1", of course got "Part 2" wat.

So ya la, collector that I is, I said, "I WANT TO GO, ALSO, I WANT TO BUY!", and went and bought I did. Sick right? Recession hitting us at a all time high, and pockets at an all time low.. but still... 'buy'... still ... 'spend'... I swear to gawd this whole spending thing is in our Malaysia D.N.A, common think about it.. we don't do pottery or art on the weekeneds, or bike.. or fish.. we.. attack..Malls...

Sick la u people, sick.

Kekekekeke.

Anyhoo, thanks to infamous birdy Beetrice (who recently got poo-pooed by stupid Cherry Culture, they suck, they really do) , I was able to get my panda paws on some Stila! And more apparently to come! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Must Have Their Eyeshadow Palattes! I Must Have! Someone sell me theirs cheep cheep if u dun need churs anymore? Hehehe.

One thing I have to say though about Stila, I never really liked their damn cardboard box containers. I have this fear that if it gets wet...it will die. If I squash it in my bag ... it will die. If I put it in my bag, it will open and then my bag will die!

So how? Special rubber band to wrap around it? Ugly la. Special makeupbag to hold it? Well it better be the right size or it will open up there and the rest of the stuff in the bag ... will die...

So how lar? Keep it at home?!

Waste money. I wanna bring it everywhere with me!

Btw, anyone have any ideas on sustaining the cute little light action with compact 1? I wanna use it, but scared that when the battery dies... then I will die trying to hack into it to replace the damn battery...

Oh and for the recording palette 2.. believe it or not..that little bugger got Bass man! Serious... Of course I didn't download my voice, not that Hiao yet.. Can you imagine? I open it up and it goes, "You are Soooooo beautiful Pomme! So! So! So! Beauuuuteeeefooool!"

Argh...

Instead I placed it infront of my speakers to the lyrics of, "Cause you're beautiful.. something in your eyes.."

HAHAHAHAHAHA...then wat?

Here's the rundown.
  1. Stila Contouring Trio (3 'powdres') Flash, Light, Dark. It's said to be good for contouring the face, cheeks, and eyes, but I just use them as eyeshadows. I've tried to contour but didn't work so well. But as eyeshadows its a really good look for daytime work makeup.
  2. Stila Record a message talking gift palette; the complete classic look. I like this palette, alot, but the lippy/cheek cream is a bit one kind on my Asian skin. Fine, a bit one kind on 'my' skin.
  3. Empty case (hee haw - hee haw, to be used with no.8.
  4. Eyeshadow - yes I am too lazy to take it out of the tin, but it's really nice and light
  5. Eyeshadow - yes I am too lazy to take it out of the tin, but it's got an awesome light sheen to it.
  6. Eyeshadow - yes I am too lazy to take it out of the tin,I know it starts with a C.. that's about it. Awesome base for night makeup.
  7. Eyeshadow - Diamond Lil. It's suber sexy.
  8. Eyeshadow due - Lily, Haven't tried it yet.. kekekekeke.
  9. Plumping effect lippy in Melon Mint (I am loving the taste, too bad no one to kiss)
  10. Plumping effect lippy in Vanilla Mint (Also loving the taste, once again too bad no one to kiss... so the cinabai right?)
  11. Kekekeke...The box that the lippies came in. Not two la, only one can fit.

Stupid Plastic Bottles

I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever buy another one of these from any pharmacy ever again. Waste my monee. Wasteee my mooneeee. It was about RM8 I think. And waste my mooooooneeeee. I put in conditioner into one of those 'bottles', and shampoo in the other, and left it over night. In the morning, both burst on me. As in the bottoms cracked and everything leaked out. Waste my moneee...Waste my mooooneeeeeee.

Dun buy. Waste Monee. Cannot get refund in Malaysia. Tupid.

Use empty Body Shop bottles instead. And they are prettier too.
Oh and can saveeee monneeee.
*sings* Recycle that's what you do! Recycle for me and you!

Faceshop Prices & Mama's Saggy Skin

I have to say, when they have a SALE - go buy their crap. Cause you'll save some.

I mean it's already cheap, but at least its cheap and it workssss - ahem - for my faceeeee. And shockingly enough it works for my mama too! ....For now.

Back to the prices, if you have a friend who somehow is heading to Korea and back, give them a loooong list. The price difference is huge. I got for my mom the Flebeaute Collagenic Collagen Treatment Ampoule Mask, said to be able to firm up old and saggy skin after the first use. It's retailing at about RM159.90 per pack of 5 small "ampoule's" (fancy term for thick toner really), and 5 Collagenic Masks.

I got little brother to pick up a box for my mom in Korea. It cost me ... *gasp gasp choke* RM60. OMG! Bloody Hell! Thank gawd I didn't have itchy hands that day in KL huh? Oh btw, it works. Mom's not all saggy anymore.

Now the only thing is, is to see how long each effect of the mask will last. It's been a day and she still looks quite 'toit'. Kekeke.... (O.o) ... eewwll. The ladies at the shop said once a week. So we shall see hor.

Will update, will update.

P.s Photo courtesy of faceshop's website.
P.p.S.s NOTE: If you have saggy skin like the mama, and I'm talking Sharpei-esk then use this product. If you don't, please don't mess with it. I have a friend that bought it and used it for fun, only to have her laugh lines protrude prodominately the very next day! So if you have good skin, dunnnn play play with it! Waste money (alot) while looking like a Sharpei.

Nose Pack Update!

And there I was going, "Dammit... waste money again. So the one kind" - then out of the blue I meet one of Face Shop's outlet managers and she tells me that it works, it really, really, really works. Oh I talkings about the Green Tea grommage for the nose wan.

Then I told her, "dun bluff, waste my money already le..."
FS: How u use?

FS: Then?
Me: I wait till half dry and massage off mahhhhhhhhh
FS: Eh, must wait for it to totally dry la
Me: Your sales girl arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, tell me one thing!
FS: Hehehehehehe. Go try again.

And true enough, it actually works now 90%!

Here's what you're suppose to do.
1. Spread a dollop on your nose evenly.
2. Wait for that dollop to dry totally.
3. Then go and rub and rub till your hearts content.

And then, ta da!! Keeeereeeeen Nose!

I like it, I like this product, I really, really do.. well more so now la.

SKII

Cate Blanchett uses it. I want to use it now.
Omg I have no money to play with.
Die.
Update: Been asking around and after hearing the feedback I agree, I don't think it's worth the money nor the risk. Friends who have tried this product either saw no change, huge change (pimples, breakouts), and/or saw their skin have major issues after having stopped using the product. Scary la. Expensive also scary.
The search continues for the perfect face set.
Back to FaceShop lor. Slightly more affordable; or so we may think.

Faceshop's Eco Vert Set

So there I was at the Faceshop and there I went gaga for their new Eco Vert "sample" set. I call them travel sets as seriously, they are awesome to take with when we go kai kai hor? Unfortunately for me, I'm also a bit dyslexic when I'm in shopping mode. You see I thought I saw 1 cleanser, 1 toner, 1 eye serum, 1 moisturiser for day, and 1 moisturiser for night. I mean at first glance you did to hor?

Not.

Ok la. I don't read, I can't read - I'm heavily dyslexic.

So hai lor, I bought this set at RM59.90 and turns out it came with 1 toner, 1 eye serum, and 3 face moisturisers. No joke.

1 toner (it smell's oh so heavenly!)
1 eye serum (not bad, not bad at all. Will update in a week)
1 day moisturiser (light and perfect for our weather)
1 night moisturiser (a tad bit too heavy for me personally - I have combination skin and this threatened to pop out a pimple after one night of use)
1 extreme moisture serum (I tried this on my cheeks (the 'driest' part of my face) and was shocked to see it's power the next day. I was oily man.. Eeeee. Ceebies. Even the leng lui at the counter told me to use it on my hands or elbows instead of my faceeeee. My faceeeee)

So hailor - verdict:

I'm a bit scared of the amount of moisture is contained in Eco Vert's moisturisers. I mean, it's Malaysia la. I am pretty sure I don't need as much as Korea (where Faceshop originates) cause we are beli, beli, beli hot and humid country unlike their dry and cold and snowy one hor? I'm just guessing.

But I am Lupping Eco Vert's toner. So light, fresh, and heavenly smelling. A bottle however is like RM60 ... for like a bottle ... Worth it? Yes, why not? It's a toner. A toner is a toner, is a toner, is a toner. Butt.... Big butt ... I have to wait and see lar!! Cause now I'm trying their Collegenic Samples, which came free after I spent like RM200. It's suppose to be all anti-aging and stuff (>.<) I'm getting old!

Faceshop Nose Pack

I finally had a chance to sit back, relax, and put some crap on my nose - in hopes of getting actual crap of my nose. Did it work? Olalala.. Lemme tell u!

First I was advised to use the (a bit expensive RM45) Green Tea Grommage first. I slathered it on my nose and waited until it was half dry, then I massaged with vigor for about 1 minute. Then I rinsed it off and tada!

Fine, unlike the picture that they have plastered in the store next to the product (some white dude's nose before and after using the grommage) I did not get my nose 100 percent clean (more like 50%) - nor did I really expect it to work that well either.

Ok I lied.

Of course I'm looking for that miracle blackhead cure that I don't have to pull (painfully) off my nose every (single damn) week \(>.<)/ Cause not only is it a pain in the ass to wait for that sort of thing to dry, it just is a pain in the ass to pull it off your nose, and to top that off.. to do that every week... Eeee.

Anyhoobala ... So after that I was instructed by the beautifully made up girls at Faceshop to apply the White Mud Nose Pack with burdock (RM19.90 cheap!) on my nose, which by now was a bit raw from the previous rubbing. I slathered the gooey white stuff on and ta da! Waited for the damn thing to dry.

So dry it did in about 5 mins and as I painfully removed the plaster all I could think of was, "damn, fark, fark, fark, ow, damn".

But I did end up at about 80% cleaned out. Which to me is awesome, cause those Biore strips don't seem to work no more. So was I satisfied, of courseee. Why not? Pain so what? As long as it works.

My own irks about gooery nose peels is that sometimes you get that "pore" effect, where your pores "breathe" and you end up with a holie plaster nose on some parts at the end of the day.

Now I have to admit this is not my first liquid nose plaster peeling product. My first having been from Shiseido, much more expensive (can't seem to remember the price), and it seriously didn't work.

But maybe cause I bought it and never used it until 1 year later. Cheh.. who knows la.. (O.o)..

Faceshop I

My Faceshop Loot!
From left to right: Soft Peeling Gommage, Greentea blackhead remover gommage pack, White Mud Nose pack, Pure Water Facial Mist, and Eco Vert 5 piece starter kit (perfect for traveling)
Because everyone has warned me not to jump from one product to another, I'm taking my time so that my skin doesn't do the helmlich and throw up more oil. Tonight I will try the Greentea blackhead remover with the White Mud Nose pack! Will update soon!

Faceshop Sneak Peek

I can't believe it worked so well that I had to put a quick post up. And it didn't scratch me up like other facial washes with nuts or sugar or salt in them either*!

More to come!

Note* Yes I have tasted everything that goes on my face. Some times its salty from the salt granules, sometimes its sugar, but this time .. its so weird. It's not either. Awesome new taste! Hehehehehe. Ick.

My "Faceee"

For the longest I never really cared what I put on my face. As long as the packaging was cute, and I could afford it, why not give it a go?

I liked nice smelling things. I love(d) anything in cutesy containers. I still do \(^-^)/

But then ... (O.o)... then I got my first wrinkle. Well it was more like I got 2 at the same time. Actually to be honest, I didn't notice that I had a wrinkle until the lady at the counter (Body Bar @ Tropicana City Mall) told me I had two. So of course I freaked. I freaked and bought a whole bunch of stuff. And that was when I fell into the organic movement trap.

Anago facial cleanser for Face & Body from Remedica
So much fun to play with! Comes in a brown paste form!

Facial Toner from Remedica
I love the smell of rose and mint.

Mukti Moisturizer: Balancing Facial Creme
Mukti Rosehip Eye Gel (day) & Mukti Eye Balm (night)

Up until a week ago my face was 'totally' organic (for about 2 months) with me using a range of Mukti & Remedica (Australian) products which I was quite obsessed with. Them being all organic and stuff. "Was" being a key word here, it's safe to say that I am semi over it. Now that was quite oxy-moronish, lol.

Admittedly going organic (0nly on my face) was a frantic phase in life for me. I had just started a new job and was sleeping late nights and working late hours. This new lifestyle gave me my first two wrinkles (yep, I would stare and stare and count them over and over again), aka crowfeet, and after a week at my new job I began to look like Ling Ling the panda.

So when the promise of no more wrinkles and panda eye pads was offered, I grabbed it up .

Yes, I do have sucker printer over my forehead - which blinks in neon pink every so often - especially when accosted by people selling stuff; pretty much selling anything really. (0.O)...

So was I happy with my new organic products? Yes very.

Until my face turned to the oily side of the force. Who knew organic didn't mean perfect for the skin?

Because the word organic always brought forth words like "natural", "gentle", "pure", "organic"; that's why lah. But true to form (and the advise of my friends) I began to notice subtle changes in my skin because essential oils are dangerous and may be too strong for some.
So totally one kind. Misleading would be the other kind.

But I do admit that even though I still look like Ling Ling the panda with my undereye circles, the wrinkles have gone thanks to Mukti's Eye Blam. But the puffiness is still there even after I've been using for a month Mukti's Rosehip Gel. But that could be due to me not sleeping till 3 in the morning though :P

But I think I know where the problem began though. The (ever so fun to play with) Anago paste! The problem being that I ignored my instincts the first time round and gave total trust to the lady at the counter; cause she knew what she was talking about mahhh. So I had tried the Anago face wash for a week and had noticed that every single time after I had rinsed and dried off my face, then I would be all itchy (on my face la). Then I would quickly spray on the Remedica toner (which I love - cause it's got mint in it!) and my face would calm down. At first the lady at the counter claimed that I was using too much on my face, but even after I cut down the amount I placed on my face, it still itched.

But I went on ignoring it and kept using it for two months. Why? Cause it really is fun to play with.

That's where the problem started. The Anago paste as it turns out dried out my skin, forcing my skin to manufactor more oil then my face actually needed. Therefore I have been left with oily skin that has been breaking out for the past two weeks.

So to make myself feel better (and to try and do something about the increase of oil production), and also because I was nuts the other day, I bought some pink mud (Borghese Fango Brillante Brightening Mud) to try!

Its pink! And its mud!

Said to kick out sad, tired, dull skin and bring in a less tired me (fingers crossed), this pink mud from Borghese will also help to even out and even fire some of my hardworking workers at the oil factory. Yay! Why not give it a go right? Plus it comes with a sponge. A sponge! A sponge! It's sooo cute!

Works on face and body too!

It's so "pepto bismol" cute. Seriously, its pink mud.

I'll try it out for a month before I come to any conclusions about it though. But for now I have to say it's the cutest pepto bismol pink mud I have ever, ever seen. Plus I love how light and delicate it's fragrance is. I really do feel soooo spoilt when I play with this product. And so far that would be 2 times. Hehehe. I likie.

Oh and P.S incase y'all were wondering what I did with the 3 bottles of Mukti balancing creme, 2 tubs of Anago Facial wash, 1 eye balm, and 1 rosehip eye gel ... \(>.<)/ .. Ya la I know la, alot of money wei... Well I'm planning to give it to my mama. I am guessing she won't mind the extra moisture lor. Muahahahaha. But I may keep a tub of the left of Anago (1st tub I bought - still have wan) for trips. They are sooo useful when you put them into smaller bottles and take em around with your in your purse. Especially when you realize at the rest stop on the highway that the soap they have ... isn't really soap..just weird white.. slimey .. eeee.. you get my drift.

So hai lor. Not total waste!

Ok, ok, I'll stop adding to this post.

I am Princess of Verbal Diarrhea!

A Shopaholic's Blog

I have finally succumbed to starting my own beauty & shopping blog thanks to my fabulous beauty friends. Admittedly they have not only gotten me hooked to their blogs, but have made me sit and take a closer look at all the beauty products I have bought, as well as the beauty products I have my eye(s) on.

I have truly been inspired by these women who have made it a point to inform others about their purchases whether it be good or bad.

Here's hoping I don't disappoint.
